Amachi

Amachi is located on 100 Feet Road in the Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore. We are pretty close to the Karpagam Cine Complex, which usually means there are plenty of people walking around, especially in the evenings when movies are letting out. We started this place because we wanted to be part of the busy life here in Gandhipuram. It’s a simple setup. We have some tables and a kitchen that stays busy most of the day. The noise from 100 Feet Road is always there, but you get used to it after a while. Our staff are just regular people from around town. We don’t have any fancy uniforms or corporate rules. We just try to get the food out and keep the place clean. Sometimes the traffic outside makes it hard for people to park, but they still find their way in. We’ve seen a lot of changes in this neighborhood since we opened. New shops come and go, but we’re still here at the same spot. It’s a practical place to eat if you’re out shopping or going to the cinema. We don't do anything flashy. It's just honest work and simple meals. Most of our customers are folks who work nearby or students hanging out. It feels like a real part of the Coimbatore community to us. We keep the front door propped open when the weather is nice to let a breeze in.
