Anbu Chettinadu Restaurant

Our restaurant is located at No 221 and 222 on 2nd Street in the Gandhipuram area. Coimbatore is a busy city and this specific part of it is always moving. We have been here for a while now, serving the local crowd from the neighborhood. Chettinadu food is what we do because it is the style of cooking we were raised with. The kitchen is always a hive of activity, especially in the early mornings when we are grinding the spices. The heat from the stoves combined with the Coimbatore weather can be a lot to handle during the peak of summer. We have a simple setup with rows of basic tables and chairs. It is not the kind of place where you come for the fancy atmosphere. You come because you are hungry and want a meal. During the lunch hour, the place gets packed with workers from the various offices around Gandhipuram. They are usually in a big hurry and we do our best to get them served so they can get back to their jobs. Sometimes we make mistakes when it gets that busy, but we always try to fix them quickly. The walls are decorated with just a few simple things and the floor is plain gray tile. We don't have a website or any fancy advertisements. Word of mouth from people in the neighborhood is mostly how customers find out about us on 2nd Street. It is just a regular local eating house for everyone.
