Sree Chakra Restaurant

Sree Chakra Restaurant is located on Malavika Street in the Ram Nagar area of Coimbatore. We are pretty close to Alankar Hotel, so we get a mix of locals and people just passing through. The restaurant isn't very large, but we’ve made the most of the space we have. We serve the kind of food we grew up eating. It’s nothing too complicated, just regular meals and snacks. The kitchen opens early to get the morning crowd and stays busy throughout the day. We have a few ceiling fans that keep the air moving, but it can get warm during the lunch rush. We don't have waiters in fancy uniforms. Most of our guys have been here for years and they just get the job done. We buy our vegetables from the market nearby every morning. You can taste the difference when things are fresh. We don't spend money on big advertisements. We figure if the food is good, people will come back. Sometimes we run out of the daily special before one o'clock, so it’s better to come early. We keep the tables wiped down and the floor swept, but it's a lived-in kind of place. It feels like a part of the neighborhood. We just focus on cooking and serving. That’s all we’ve ever really done here on Malavika Street. We like seeing the same faces every day and knowing our regulars by name.
