Rich Food Restaurant (Closed Down)

Rich Food Restaurant used to be located at No 12, D B Road, in the R S Puram section of Coimbatore. We operated out of that space for a long time, serving the local community in the 641002 area. The building at No 12 was a familiar spot for many people who lived or worked around R S Puram. Over the years, we saw a lot of changes on D B Road as more shops opened up and the traffic got heavier. Even though the sign might still be there or people still remember the location, we aren't serving meals anymore. Running a restaurant in such a busy part of the city had its challenges, from the daily morning prep to the late-night cleanups. We had a small team of workers who were part of the neighborhood fabric for a while. The kitchen was always the heart of the place, filled with the smells of what we were cooking that day. People used to stop in while they were out shopping or during their work breaks. It was just a plain, honest place to get some food without any unnecessary extras. Now that it’s closed down, the space is just a part of the history of D B Road. It’s strange to think about the empty tables now, but that’s how things go sometimes with local businesses in Coimbatore.
