Raja Biryani Restaurant

Raja Biryani Restaurant is located on Sastri Road, right in the Ram Nagar area of Coimbatore. We are quite close to the central bus stand, so we see a lot of travelers passing through. The smell of the spices usually lets people know where we are before they even see our sign. We specialize in biryani, and that’s what most people come here for. It’s a busy street, so there is always a bit of noise from the traffic and the horns outside. Inside, it’s just a regular dining room with enough fans to keep the Coimbatore humidity away. We don’t bother with much decoration. The walls have some old paint and the furniture is sturdy. We start prepping the rice and the meat early in the morning to get the right flavor. It takes time to get the spices balanced, so we don't rush it. When we run out for the day, that’s usually it. Sometimes we have a few other sides like chicken fry, but the biryani is the main thing people ask for. The staff has been with us for years, and we all just do our jobs. It gets pretty hectic around 1 PM, and the kitchen gets very hot with all the big pots on the fire. We just keep serving until the pots are empty. It’s a practical place for people who want a heavy meal without spending too much. You won't find anything fancy here, just a plate of food and a glass of water.
