Nalunavu millet restaurant

We have been running Nalunavu millet restaurant at 88, Arokiasamy Road for quite a while now. People in R S Puram usually know the spot because it is so close to the old hotel Annapoorna. We decided to focus on millets because that is what many of us grew up eating at home, and it felt right to keep that going. It is not a fancy place with lots of decorations, just a simple setup where you can get a meal that does not feel heavy on your stomach. We spend most of our early mornings getting the different grains ready for the day. The kitchen gets busy pretty early. Coimbatore has changed a lot since we started, but this part of R S Puram still feels like the heart of the city to us. We are not trying to do anything revolutionary here, to be honest. We are just cooking the way we know how. Some days the sambar might be a bit spicier than other days, but that is just how it goes when you are cooking everything fresh each morning. You will find us right at number 88 on the road. Most folks stop by after doing their daily shopping or on their way back from the office.
