Madhumitha Chettinadu Restaurant

Our restaurant is located in the Gandhipuram area of Coimbatore. We are on No 792 Sakth Road 1st Street. It is a busy part of the city and there are always people around. We focus on Chettinadu food because that is what we know how to do. The kitchen gets hot in the afternoons when we are preparing the spices and getting everything ready for the crowd. Gandhipuram has a lot of shops and businesses so we see a lot of office workers and locals coming through. We don't really go for a polished look. It's more about the food and the regular daily routine here. The street can be tight with vehicles parked along the sides. We have been here on 1st Street for a bit now. It is just a simple place where people come to eat. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that. We just open the doors and get to work. The smells from the kitchen usually carry out onto the road. Some days are busier than others, especially when it’s lunch time. Coimbatore is a big place but this little corner of Gandhipuram feels like home to us. We keep our tables clean and make sure the food is ready. It's a lot of work running a restaurant but we just get on with it every day without making a fuss.
