You can find us at Mittal Chambers over in Nariman Point. It’s a different kind of world here compared to the industrial suburbs, but we’ve been part of it for a long time. Our office at number 21 is full of files and old ledgers that tell the story of many years in business. We aren't a new startup with bean bags and glass walls. We have heavy wooden desks and phones that ring quite often. Being in Nariman Point means we see the city change every day, but inside our doors, we keep things pretty traditional. The family has been running this for generations, so there is a lot of history in these walls. We handle a lot of paperwork and logistics, talking to people all over the country. It’s a lot of coordination and making sure the details are right. Sometimes the lifts in the building are slow, so we get to know our neighbors while we wait. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall. We just show up and do what we said we would do. Most of the staff has been with us for decades, which says something about how we run things. It’s a quiet, steady sort of place. We take our time with the work to make sure it’s done properly without any fuss. It’s just the way we’ve always operated at Khimji Visram & Sons.
