Kamalam Briyani & Grill

We've been here on 100 Feet Road in Gandhipuram for a while now, right across from Kalyan Jewellers. It’s a busy spot, and things get pretty hectic during the lunch rush. Kamalam Briyani & Grill is just where we do our thing every day. We focus a lot on the biryani because that's what people usually show up for, but the grill side of things keeps us busy too. It's not a fancy place, just tables and chairs and the smell of spices in the air. We start early getting the rice ready and making sure the coal is right for the grill. Sometimes the traffic outside is loud, but inside it’s just about the food. People come in from the shops nearby or after they've been out doing their errands. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us working in the kitchen and serving the plates as they come out. Some days are smoother than others, but that's just how it goes in a kitchen. We try to keep things consistent so you know what you’re getting when you walk through the door. If you’re around Gandhipuram, you probably know where we are. We just keep the lights on and the pots moving. It’s honest work and we like seeing the regular faces. Nothing much more to say than that, really. Just a local spot doing biryani and grilled food for whoever is hungry in Coimbatore. The rain sometimes slows things down, but mostly it's just the daily grind of the city.
