Furniture Point

We are over at Obli Towers on DB Road. RS Puram is always busy, so there’s a lot of noise from the street. Our shop, Furniture Point, has been here for a bit now. Mostly, we spend our days moving chairs and desks around the floor to make room. It’s hard work when new stock arrives. We try to keep things organized but sometimes the back room gets a bit messy with packing materials. People stop in while they are out doing their shopping on DB Road. We deal with all kinds of stuff for homes. Sometimes someone just wants a small stool, other times it’s a whole set of chairs for a dining room. We don't have a fancy showroom, just the space we have here in the towers. The lighting inside isn't always the brightest, but it works for seeing the wood grain and fabrics. Usually, one of us is by the door while the other is checking the inventory or talking to a delivery driver. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years. Some shops close and new ones open, but we are still here at the same spot. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the furniture doesn't get scratched during the move. That’s pretty much how a normal Tuesday or Wednesday goes for us. We just try to keep things moving and stay on top of the work.
