Vinayaga Traders

Vinayaga Traders is located at 43, Old Washermanpet. This part of the city is always crowded and the streets are very tight. Things are always moving at a fast pace. Our shop has been in this spot for years. The walls show the age with some peeling paint here and there. We don't really mind it because the work is what matters. Inside, it smells a bit like old paper and the various goods we have stacked up to the ceiling. We have to use a ladder to get to the things on the top shelves. That ladder has been wobbly since I can remember. People walk in from the street all day long, mostly just regulars who live nearby. It is a noisy place with the sounds of the market right outside the door. We spend a lot of time on the phone or talking to suppliers who drop by with their clips and ledgers. We don't have any air conditioning, just a big metal fan that pushes the warm air around. There is always a stack of empty boxes out front waiting to be picked up. It is not the most organized looking place, but we know exactly how many of each item we have in stock. We just keep our heads down and get through the list of tasks for the day, one by one, until it’s time to pull the doors shut and go home.
