Our parlour is a little different because we focus on using scents and oils to help people feel a bit better while they get their hair or skin done. It’s not a huge spa or anything, just a small room we’ve set up with what we need. I handle the appointments and do most of the work myself. Sometimes I have someone helping me if it’s a busy day. We do things like facials, hair coloring, and threading. The smells of the oils we use usually mask the city smells from outside, which is nice. People come in after a long day of shopping in the markets nearby just to sit down for a bit. We don't use any complicated terminology or try to sell you stuff you don't need. It’s just a place to get a bit of beauty work done. The walls aren't perfectly painted, and the furniture is just what we could afford when we started, but it works for us. Living and working in Parrys means you have to be tough and patient. We open up every morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. It’s a simple business run by people who live right here in the city, doing what we can to stay busy.
