Akshara Beauty Parlour

Akshara Beauty Parlour is tucked away in George Town at No 39, Thambu Chetty Street. We are on the ground floor, which used to be known as Old No 20. If you are coming from the Royapuram Bridge, we are just right opposite that, making it easy to find us even in the busy streets of Chennai 600001. This is a very old part of the city, and our building has that classic feel to it. We mostly serve the ladies who live or work in this neighborhood. It is a simple parlor where we do the basic stuff like haircuts, facials, and threading. The area is quite crowded with all the businesses around Thambu Chetty Street, so there's always a lot of noise from the trucks and the markets nearby. Inside our shop, we keep things pretty basic and straightforward. We don’t have any of those modern high-tech gadgets, just the tools that have worked for us for years. It’s a place where you can come in, sit down, and have a chat while we work. We know a lot of our customers for a long time, and some have been coming since we first opened. It is a bit of a tight space when it’s busy, but we make it work. It’s just a honest, local business in the heart of the old city. We keep our hours regular and just do the work.
