Aiysha Beauty Saloon

Aiysha Beauty Saloon is right here on Pedu Naicken Street in Sowcarpet. If you know this part of Chennai, you know it gets really crowded near the Jain Temple. We have been here for a while now, just doing our thing and helping people look a bit neater. It is a small place, nothing fancy at all. We just have a couple of chairs and the basic stuff you expect. Most of the people who come in are from the neighborhood or shopkeepers taking a quick break. The street outside is always noisy with carts and people walking by, but inside it stays okay. We don't really do big advertising or anything. People just walk in because they saw the sign or a neighbor told them. Sometimes we are busy, sometimes it is quiet and we just sit and talk. We try to keep things simple because that is what works in Sowcarpet. It gets hot in the afternoons so we keep the fan running full speed. I usually handle the threading and basics myself. It is not a big corporate chain or anything like that, just a local shop where we know most of the faces. We keep the mirrors clean and the floor swept as much as we can between customers. If you are passing by the temple and need something done, you can find us at 443/34. It is just how we make a living. It is a bit messy sometimes but we manage.
