Thayar Products

You can find us at Thayar Products over on First Street in Eshwari Nagar, Gowrivakkam. We’re at No 5/6, which is a building we’ve occupied for a good long while now. It’s a residential neighborhood mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than being on the main road. We produce various items here, and we spend most of our hours in the production area in the back. It’s not a high-tech facility by any means. We use a lot of manual processes and old-fashioned methods because that’s how we learned to do it. The space is a bit tight, so we have to be careful not to trip over each other when we’re busy. We don’t have a big team of employees, just a few local folks who have been with us for years. We do all the packaging ourselves, and sometimes the labels aren’t perfectly straight, but we try our best. The delivery van has a hard time turning around in the narrow street, which is always a bit of a headache in the afternoons. We don't have a fancy logo or a big marketing plan. We just focus on getting our products out to the shops that sell them. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but there’s a certain rhythm to it that we like. People in Gowrivakkam know us, and we like being part of the local scene. It’s a modest business, and we’re happy just keeping things running as much as we can.
