Styly Beauty Parlour

Styly Beauty Parlour is at Number 7/4 on Manapan Street in the Old Washermanpet area. If you are familiar with this part of Chennai, we are very close to the Perumal Koil. You can actually hear the temple bells from inside the shop sometimes. Chennai is almost always hot, so I try to keep the shop as comfortable as possible with the fans. This is a very old neighborhood with narrow streets and many families living close together. My shop is small, just one room, but I have made it work for many years now. I mostly do hair coloring, threading, and basic skin care for the ladies who live nearby. People in Old Washermanpet are not looking for anything too expensive or flashy. They just want someone local who they can trust with their hair. I know most of my customers by name and I know their children too. We talk a lot while I am working on their hair. Sometimes the street out front gets flooded when the rains are heavy, and I have to close the door for a while. My tools are simple but they get the job done correctly. I do not have a computer or any special booking system. People just walk in or call me on the phone. It is a busy life, but it is good to be part of the community here on Manapan Street.
