Sss Unisex Saloon & Spa

Our salon is inside the Thirumala Complex on Royapettah High Road. We’re at number 239, which is quite close to Hotel Swagath if you’re looking for us. Being a unisex place means we see everyone, from men wanting a quick shave to women looking for a full hair treatment. It stays fairly busy because of the location in Royapettah. The shop has a spa section too, though it’s pretty modest. We have some curtains for privacy and the lighting is a bit softer in the back rooms. In the front, it’s all bright lights and mirrors for the hair cutting. We try to keep things organized, but on a busy Tuesday, there might be hair clips and spray bottles everywhere on the counters. We aren’t really into the high-end marketing stuff. We just put the sign up and started working. Some of the staff have been here since we first opened. We talk a lot while we work, mostly just everyday stuff about life in Chennai or the weather. The chairs are comfortable enough, though the leather is starting to show a bit of wear on the edges after all this time. That’s just from use, I suppose. It’s a basic, honest spot where people can get what they need done without paying those high mall prices. We don't have a big mission, we just open the doors in the morning and wait for the first customer to walk in. It's a living like any other.
