Our place is tucked away on Menad Street in Purasawalkam. If you know where Rathna Store is, we’re just a short walk from there. It’s a lively part of Chennai, always something happening outside the window with the street vendors and traffic. Inside, it’s a bit quieter. We set up Sri Beauty Saloon And Spa to be a practical spot for people who live around here to get a haircut or a massage without traveling too far. The walls are a bit plain, but we try to keep it tidy. We have the usual stuff like sinks for washing hair, some tables for the spa things, and plenty of towels. It’s not a huge space, so things are kept pretty close together. Sometimes the water pressure acts up, but we’ve learned how to deal with it over the years. We get a mix of people coming in, some just for a quick trim and others who want to sit for a while and relax. It’s mostly local folks who recognize us when they walk by. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we’re in a movie. It’s just a salon. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after appointments and making sure the combs are ready. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, but that’s how it goes in this line of work. If you’re around Purasawalkam and need a bit of a refresh, we’re usually around and open.
