Sri Balaji Beauty Salon

The shop is located at No 7/18 on Subba Naidu Street. It’s right there in Choolai, very close to the Choolai Market. If you live around here, you know how crowded it gets, especially in the mornings when everyone is out buying vegetables. Sri Balaji Beauty Salon has been around for a bit. It’s just a simple room with a few chairs and mirrors. We don’t have any big signs or anything flashy. To be honest, most people find us because they were already in the neighborhood. The street is narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone with a car. Most of our regulars just walk over. We talk about the local news or the weather while we work. It’s usually pretty humid in Chennai, so we try to keep the place feeling alright. We aren't trying to be like those big chains you see in the malls. It’s just me and the guys doing what we know. Sometimes we get a bit busy on weekends and people have to wait on the wooden bench outside. We just keep things moving. There’s always someone coming in for a shave or a haircut. We don’t really change much around here. The walls could probably use some new paint, but the work stays the same. It’s a practical place for people who live in Choolai. We just do the job and let people get back to their day without much fuss. We open early most days.
