Shears Beauty Saloon

Shears Beauty Saloon is inside Embassy Towers at No : 55/4, Montieth Road. This is a busy part of Egmore, filled with offices and people rushing around. Being in a big building like Embassy Towers makes the shop feel a bit more tucked away from the main noise of the street. However, you can still hear the city hum if you listen closely. The floor is polished, but you can see where people have walked over the years. We have several stations set up with mirrors and adjustable chairs. Some of the chairs are a bit squeaky when you turn them, but they are still solid. We keep the equipment on little rolling carts that we move around as needed. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief during the Chennai summers. We don't use any fancy language or try to act like we are more than what we are. It is a place for a haircut or a shave while you are out running errands or taking a break from the office. The walls have a few posters that have been there for a long time. I usually bring my lunch from home and eat it in the small back room. It’s a steady job in a busy part of town, and we have many regulars who work in the same building. We just keep things moving every day.
