Shavath Beauty Parlour

Shavath Beauty Parlour is right here in Korukkupet, tucked away in the 3rd Lane of No 4 A. We have been running this place for a while now, mostly seeing the same faces from the neighborhood. Being right behind Thiyagaraya College means we get a lot of students popping in between their classes or after they are done for the day. It’s not a fancy place with bright lights and expensive furniture, just a regular spot where you can come to get your hair or face done without any fuss. The 3rd Lane is usually quiet, but it gets a bit busy during the college hours when the students are moving about. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for people to drop by. Sometimes it’s a quick trim, other times someone wants to look a bit nicer for a family function or a college event. We don’t do big advertisements or anything like that. Most people find us because they live nearby or they saw the sign while walking past the college buildings. It’s just me and a couple of others here most days working. We try to keep things simple and honest. If the shop is crowded, you might have to wait a little bit on the plastic chairs, but we get to everyone eventually. Living and working in Chennai 600021 has its own pace, and we just follow that. It’s a small space, but it works well for us.
