The office for Saleem Realty Ltd. is on the 3rd floor of Alsa Mall, which is at 7-A Montieth Road in Egmore. Being in a mall is a bit different from having a shop on the street. You have to take the elevator or the stairs to get up to us. It’s usually a bit cooler inside the mall than out on the street, which is a relief in the summer. We are at unit 7-A. It’s a professional enough space, but we still keep it simple. There are some chairs and a table where we can look over papers. Since we are in Egmore, it’s a very central location. You get all kinds of people coming into the mall, and sometimes they wander up to the third floor and find us. We deal with property across the city, but we do a lot of our work right here from this desk. The mall can get pretty busy on weekends, but during the week it’s a bit more peaceful. We have a view of the corridor from our door. Sometimes we go downstairs to get a snack or some coffee. We don't use any slick sales tactics. People come in, they tell us what they need, and we see if we can find it for them. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking listings. We’ve been here at Alsa Mall for quite a while, and most people in the building know who we are. It’s just a steady way of doing business in a busy part of Chennai.
