Sakina Beauty Parlour

Sakina Beauty Parlour has been here in Royapuram on 4th Line Beach for a while now. We are right near the Cli Battery and the Harbour Police Station, so the area is always busy with people coming and going. It’s a small place, nothing fancy, just a room where we do threading, hair cutting, and simple facials for the women who live around here. Most days start early when the sea breeze is still cool, and we open the shutters to get things ready. People know us because we’ve been at No 41 for years. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded on weekends, especially when there’s a wedding or a local function. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us working the chairs. The mirrors are old but they do the job. We see a lot of regulars who just stop by to fix their eyebrows or get a quick hair wash after work. It’s noisy outside with the harbor traffic and the police station nearby, but inside it’s just us doing our work. We use simple products that people are used to. No one is in a hurry here unless it’s a Monday morning. The lights flicker sometimes when the power acts up, but we keep going. It’s just a regular neighborhood spot for the ladies in Royapuram to come and get cleaned up without any fuss. We like the familiar faces and the gossip that comes with the job. It feels like home after all these years.
