Royal Diana Beauty Parlour

Royal Diana Beauty Parlour is tucked away on the first floor of Vardhan Complex on Mint Street. Being in Sowcarpet, the whole area is always packed with people and shops. You have to walk up a narrow set of stairs to find us at shop number nine. It’s a small space, but we’ve managed to fit in everything we need for threading, waxing, and hair work. My sister and I have been running this place together for quite some years. The walls are decorated with some old posters and we have a small shelf for all our creams and threads. It’s not a fancy salon with soft lighting; we just use regular tube lights so we can see what we are doing clearly. Many women come in while they are out doing their shopping in the market nearby. It’s a nice place for them to sit down for a bit and get their eyebrows done. Sometimes the complex gets a bit cramped, especially during the festival seasons when Mint Street is overflowing with people. We don’t have any fancy machines or expensive products. We just use what we know works well. It’s a simple, local parlour where we know most of our customers by their names. We aren't trying to be like those big city spas. We just provide a basic service for the women in the neighborhood.
