Revathi Beauty Parlour

Our parlor is located on Patel Road in Perambur, right near the Priya Nursing Home. If you live in Chennai, you know how busy this area can get with all the traffic and people moving around. The shop isn't very big but it’s enough for what we need. We have the usual setup with mirrors and chairs for the ladies who come in. Most of our visitors are from the nearby houses who just walk over. You can hear the sounds of the street and the nursing home nearby while you sit inside. It’s often quite noisy with the horns honking. We do things like threading and hair oiling or just a simple hair wash. The room smells like talcum powder and herbal oils most of the time. We try to keep things clean but it’s hard with so many people coming in and out of 93/1 Patel Road. The curtains are a bit old and the tiles have some stains, but it feels like home to many of the regulars. They come in and talk about their day or the price of vegetables at the market. It’s more of a place to catch up while getting work done. We don't use any of those fancy machines you see on TV. It’s just basic stuff that works. We stay open until late evening so the working women can stop by on their way back home. It’s just a regular neighborhood beauty parlor.
