Being on the first floor at 84/85 Waltax Road means we hear everything happening on the street. Rcl Foods Limited is tucked away up here. It’s a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which it does sometimes. Since we deal with food products, there’s always a bit of a smell in the air—mostly spices or grains depending on what’s being moved that day. The space is a bit cramped because a lot of it is used for storage. A massive corporation with a lobby isn't what we are; you pretty much walk right into the middle of the action. Someone is always counting bags or checking invoices. Back in the corner, a small kitchen is where we make coffee. It’s a tight-knit group here. Knowing each other's families and lunch preferences is just standard. Waltax Road is a hectic place to be, but it’s central for us. Walk-ins asking for prices happen all the time. A big marketing department doesn't exist here. Keeping track of the stock and making sure the deliveries go out on time is the main priority. Sometimes we stay late when a big truck arrives. It’s just the way the food business works. Simple methods and staying on top of the inventory are what we stick to. Every day is different, but the work stays the same.
