Familymart

Familymart is located at the corner of 52nd Street and 7th Avenue in Ashok Nagar. We’re right in the middle of a residential area, so we see the same faces every single day. It’s a small shop, but we try to keep the basics on the shelves. Sometimes we run out of milk or bread faster than we expect, especially on holiday weekends. It gets a bit cramped in here when more than five people are shopping at once. We don't have those fancy self-checkout machines. It's just us at the counter. We’ve been part of the Ashok Nagar neighborhood for a long time. People come in for a quick snack or to pick up something they forgot for dinner. We know which neighbors like which brands. The street outside can get a little busy with scooters and cars, but inside it’s usually just the sound of the fridge humming. We don’t do big marketing campaigns. We just open the doors in the morning and wait for the neighborhood to wake up. It’s a simple way to make a living. We try to keep things clean and tidy, but with so many boxes coming in, there's always a bit of a mess in the back. That’s just life in a small convenience store. The neighbors often stop to chat about the local news while they pay. We like being a part of their daily routine and seeing the kids grow up.
