We are based at 62, Sreenivasa Nagar. This is where we handle the food trading side of things. It’s a house that we’ve converted to fit all the sacks and boxes we move through here. Sreenivasa Nagar is a decent area, though the roads can get a bit cramped when the delivery trucks come through. We deal with various food items, mostly grains and dry goods that can sit for a bit. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you’ll usually see one of us hauling bags or checking the invoices. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our work is just moving stock from one place to another. The smell of the spices and grains is pretty strong inside, which we’ve gotten used to over the years. We try to keep the place organized, but when a big shipment comes in, things get a bit messy for a day or two. We’ve been at this for a while, and we know most of the people who come to buy from us. We don't do much advertising. People just know we are at number 62. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to do everything by flashlight, but we manage. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. My uncle started this place years ago and not much has changed since then. We still use the same heavy scales to weigh everything. They are old but they are accurate. It’s a system that works for us and we just keep going.
