L R Supermarket

Our store is right on the corner of 3rd Main Road in Adambakkam. It is a busy spot in Brindavan Nagar, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. We opened L R Supermarket because there was not a good place nearby to grab everything in one go. The shelves are usually packed tight with all sorts of things, from rice and lentils to soap and snacks for the kids. Sometimes it is a bit of a squeeze in the aisles when the delivery guys are bringing in new crates of milk or soda. We try to keep the lights bright and the floors swept, though it is tough when it rains outside and people track in mud. The staff here are mostly local kids or people from the neighborhood who live just a few streets away. We know a lot of the customers by name and even remember what they usually buy on Tuesdays. It is a lot of work keeping track of what is running low in the back room. Sometimes we run out of something popular and have to wait for the truck to show up the next day. People just come in, get their groceries, and chat for a minute at the counter while we bag things up. It gets loud when the fridge compressors kick in, but you get used to the noise after a while. It is just a neighborhood shop trying to keep the pantry full for everyone.
