Raja Store

Raja Store is located at No: 2/202 on Demellows Road in the Choolai area of Chennai. We are situated near the old Natraj Theatre, which most people around here know well. Our shop is just a small space in 600007 where we keep all the daily essentials. We have been here for quite some time, watching the neighborhood change around us. The road outside can get very busy and noisy, especially with the traffic going towards the theatre area. Inside the store, it is usually a bit quieter. We spend a lot of time organizing the bags of grains and stacking the shelves with jars and packets. It is just a local shop, nothing more. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. We just open up the shutters every morning and start our day. Some of our customers have been coming to us for decades. They come in to buy their monthly groceries and often stay for a bit of a chat about how things are going. We do the billing ourselves and keep track of everything in our books. It is a lot of manual work, but we are used to it. The heat in Choolai can be a bit much in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. We are just a part of the daily life on Demellows Road and we like it that way. No fuss, just business.
