Raesme Beauty Parlour

Raesme Beauty Parlour is a small place at No 29/2 on Subrayan 1st Street. We are right near the market in Nammalwarpet, so it’s always lively around here. You can hear the vendors and the traffic all day long. This shop has been here for a bit, and we’ve gotten to know the people in this part of Chennai really well. It’s a simple setup, nothing fancy. We have a few mirrors and the tools we need for hair and beauty work. It’s mostly women from the neighborhood who come by. They usually drop in after doing their shopping at the market. It gets a bit tight inside when there are more than three people waiting. We don't have a lot of space, but we keep it clean. The street is narrow, so it’s better if you walk here. We don't use any big words to describe what we do. It’s just basic beauty services like haircuts and threading. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is here. We try to be honest with our prices and our work. We aren't trying to be a big chain or anything. Just a local shop run by local people. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming here themselves. It’s a nice feeling to be part of the community here near the market. Subrayan 1st Street is our home.
