P. R. Estates

If you know where New College is in Royapettah, then you’ve probably passed by our place at No.167/1 on Peters Road. We are right across from the college. It stays pretty lively around here because of all the students and the traffic. P. R. Estates is a small outfit. We don't have a giant staff or a fancy reception area with a bowl of mints. It’s just a practical space where we handle real estate matters. Some days are slow and we just sit and catch up on filing, and other days the phone won't stop ringing. We try to keep it simple. If someone wants to know about a property, we give them the facts we have. There’s no point in dressing things up to sound better than they are. People appreciate when you’re direct with them. The building itself is older, which gives it some character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, so we know the streets and the people pretty well. It’s a good spot because everyone knows the landmark. You can’t miss the college. We don’t spend much on advertising or big posters. Word of mouth usually brings people our way. It’s just us doing what we’ve always done, right here on Peters Road. We have a ceiling fan that hums a bit too loud, but you stop noticing it after the first hour. The files on the shelves aren't in any fancy color-coded system, but we know where everything is when we need it.
