We run OM PADMAPRIYA LAKSHMI REALTY LLP from Suraj Kunj. That’s the building on 5th Street in Rutland Gate. Nungambakkam is a busy place, but our little corner on 5th Street is okay. We use the New No. 18 address now, though the old number was 8. It’s a Chennai-based business through and through. We deal with real estate things, like land and buildings. Our office doesn't have any leather chairs or glass walls. It’s just a practical space with desks, some old cupboards for files, and a few chairs for visitors. We don't really do big advertisements. Most people just find us because they need help with property in this part of town. The weather in Chennai means we are usually drinking a lot of water and keeping the fans on. We’ve been in the 600006 area for a while and we know the streets pretty well. The work is steady, mostly involving documents and checking on different sites. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to do our jobs and go home to our families at the end of the day. Working in reality means things can be slow one day and very fast the next. We just take it as it comes. It's a real place with real people working hard. There is no polish here, just stacks of paper and people trying to help each other out.
