Monisha Beauty Parloure

Monisha Beauty Parloure is located at No 18/59 on West Cross Road 14 in Mkb Nagar. We are right opposite the bus stand, so there’s always a lot of movement outside. You can see people running for their buses all day long. Because of the location, we get a lot of people who just pop in because they have twenty minutes to spare before their ride comes. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when there are more than three people inside. We have a few chairs and some basic equipment for hair and skin. It’s nothing like those big salons in the city. To be honest, it’s a bit messy sometimes because we are so close to the dusty road. I try to keep it as clean as I can. The light inside isn’t the brightest, but it works for what we do. We don’t really have a set routine; we just take whoever walks through the door. Some days are just filled with local ladies from the nearby apartments. We hear all the gossip about the neighborhood and what's happening at the market. It’s a practical shop. We don't promise anything crazy or fancy. We just do the work and hope people come back next time they need something done. The bus stand noise is something you eventually stop hearing after a few years. It’s just part of our day here in Chennai. We stay open until the last bus crowds thin out.
