Mangai Beauty Parlour

Mangai Beauty Parlour is situated over at No 49/24 on Mcm Garden 1St Street. This is in Washermanpet, and if you are looking for Maharani Theatre, we are just a short walk away from there. The street can be a bit narrow, so it’s usually better to walk here if you live nearby. Inside the shop, we have the basic equipment for hair and skin work. There are a couple of shelves where we keep the lotions, powders, and different types of thread. The walls are painted a light color, but they have some marks from over the years where furniture has bumped into them. We have a small curtained area in the back for when someone needs a bit more privacy for their work. The mirrors are old but clean, and we use a spray bottle to wipe them down every couple of days. Usually, there is some music playing softly from a small radio we keep on the corner table. It's mostly ladies from the surrounding houses who come in. They might be going to a wedding or just want their eyebrows done. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one so people know which door it is. The floor is often covered in small bits of hair until we get a chance to sweep it up again. It’s a quiet enough place during the middle of the day when most people are at home or working.
