Manees Hair & Beauty Saloon

We are up on the first floor at Gemini Pareson Mannor on Anna Salai. It’s an old building, but it’s right in the middle of everything in Thousand Lights. If you’re near the Park Hotel, we are very close. Manees Hair & Beauty Saloon has been here for a while now. The address is a bit long, No 29 Old No 602, but once you find the manor, just head up. It’s a bit of a maze in these older buildings sometimes with the narrow hallways. I like being here because the energy of Anna Salai is always high, though the traffic is a nightmare. We get people working in the nearby offices and some folks staying at the hotels nearby. It’s a mix of hair cutting and beauty work. It’s not a super modern place with glass walls and loud music, it’s more comfortable than that. I think people like that it feels a bit more private since we are on the first floor away from the street level noise. We do what we can to make sure people leave looking better than when they walked in. I’ve spent many years behind a chair here. It’s my life's work, really. Just a simple saloon for whoever needs it. Sometimes the lift in the building is temperamental, so the stairs are a good backup. We have a few regular clients who have been coming since we first opened. It’s nice to see familiar faces every week.
