Malesia Saloon

We are located right on Muktharunisa Begum Street in the Mount Road area. It’s a very old part of Chennai, near Ellis Road. Being at number 40 means we see a lot of traffic and people passing by every single day. The shop isn't huge, but it gets the job done for the men around here who need a quick trim or a shave before work. I’ve noticed that this part of the city never really sleeps. There’s always noise from the bikes and cars outside. We’ve been here for a while and most of the guys who come in live or work within walking distance. It’s a simple setup with just the basic chairs and mirrors. We don’t do all those fancy treatments you see on TV. It’s just a regular local saloon. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that’s just how it is in this neighborhood. I handle most of the customers myself or with one other person. It’s practical work. People come in, get their hair cut, talk a bit about the news or the weather, and then go about their day. It’s a quiet life inside the shop even if it’s loud outside on Mount Road. I try to keep the place tidy but with hair flying everywhere, it’s a constant task. If you’re in the area, you’ll find us easily enough.
