Malaika Beauty Parlour

Malaika Beauty Parlour is situated at No.1 Pilkington Road in Ayanavaram. We are right near the Ayyapan Temple, so it’s a very familiar spot for anyone living in this part of Chennai. The parlour is a place where local women come to get their basic beauty needs taken care of. We do things like threading, waxing, and hair cuts. It is not a very large place, but we have made it comfortable enough. We have some curtains for privacy and a few chairs for waiting. The street outside can be quite noisy with all the temple traffic, but inside we just focus on the work. We've been here for years and many of our customers are like friends now. They tell us about their families and we share what’s happening with ours. We don't have any of those expensive machines you see on TV. We just use our hands and the tools we have. Sometimes the light in the back room flickers a bit, but we managed. It’s a simple business run by people who live right here in Ayanavaram. We don't try to be anything we are not. If someone needs to look neat for a function or just wants a trim, they come to us. It’s a steady, quiet kind of place that serves the neighborhood. There is a small cupboard where we keep our supplies and everything is tidy.
