Mahathi Beauty Parlour

Our parlour is located at No 110/58 on Avadhana Papier Road, right in the heart of Choolai here in Chennai. It’s an old building and the street is quite narrow, so parking a scooter can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We have been operating from this spot for a good while. The shop isn't very big, but we have managed to fit in everything we need for hair and skin work. People from the nearby houses come in mostly. They know us by name, and we know who likes their coffee with less sugar or who wants their eyebrows done a specific way. Choolai is a busy place with lots of small shops and houses all mixed together. On rainy days, the water collects a bit on the road outside, but inside it stays dry and quiet. We use regular products that you see in the local stores, nothing that costs a fortune. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour, and we just sit and chat with whoever is in the chair until it comes back on. It’s that kind of place where nobody is in a huge rush. We start our day around ten in the morning after I finish my housework and drop the kids at school. It is just a simple business to help the local ladies look their best without having to travel all the way to a big mall.
