M S Beauty Parlour

Triplicane is a crowded place with lots of small streets. Our parlor is on Arumuga Achari Street. It’s near Rathna Cafe Hotel, which is a good landmark because everyone knows it. The building is old, and the numbers have changed over time, so we have New No 22 and Old No 28 on the sign. It’s a bit confusing for new people, but the locals know where we are. The shop isn't very large. We have the basic setup for haircuts and other things. It’s mostly women from the surrounding houses who visit us. They come in to chat as much as they do for the service. We have some old magazines on a small table, though most people just talk. The street outside is usually full of bikes parked everywhere. Sometimes it’s hard to even walk through. Inside the parlor, we try to keep things calm, but you can always hear the city noise. We don't have any of that high-end decor. It’s just a plain room with what we need to get the job done. The heat in Chennai can be tough, so we rely on our ceiling fans to keep the air moving. We’ve been here for many years and have seen the neighborhood change a lot. But our shop stays pretty much the same. We just keep doing what we know how to do and that's enough for us. It is just a regular local business.
