You can find us at No 25/2, West Cemetry Road in Washermanpet. We are located right at the backside of the Pandian Theatre bus stop in Old Washermanpet, so there is always the sound of buses pulling in and out. It’s a noisy part of Chennai, but we like it that way. The shop is a dedicated space for gents who need a quick trim or a shave. We have some heavy black chairs that have seen a lot of use over the years. The floor is usually covered in bits of hair until I get a chance to sweep it between customers. We have a small television in the corner, but the reception isn't always great, so it mostly just stays on the news. The walls are painted a plain color that doesn't show the dirt too much. It gets really crowded on Sunday mornings when everyone wants to look sharp for the week ahead. I usually keep a jug of water in the corner for anyone who is thirsty. The light bulbs are a bit bright, but they help me see what I’m doing. We don't have any complicated menus or anything like that. People just come in, sit down, and tell me what they want. It is a straightforward way to earn a living in a busy neighborhood like this one. The bus stop makes it easy for people to find us.
