Kgn Ladies & Children Beauty Parlour

We’re located over in Old Washermanpet on Subammal Street. You’ll see us right across from Manohar Clinic. It’s a good spot because people often notice us when they’re heading to the clinic or walking down the street for groceries. We called the place Kgn Ladies & Children Beauty Parlour because that’s exactly who we look after. We do a lot of kids’ haircuts, which can be a bit of a challenge when they won’t sit still in the chair, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. For the ladies, it’s mostly the regular things like hair trims or getting ready for a local wedding or function. The shop is cozy, maybe a bit too small when three or four people are waiting, but we make it work somehow. We have some toys in the corner to keep the little ones busy for a minute while their mothers get their hair done. The floor is usually covered in little snips of hair by the afternoon. We use regular products that you can find at the local markets. It’s not a fancy spa, just a neighborhood parlour where you don't have to dress up to come in. Most of our day is spent talking about the local news or what’s for dinner tonight. We’ve been here for a while now and the locals seem to know they can just drop in. We don't really do appointments, people just show up when they have some free time.
