K. P. M. Perfumers

We are located at 45, Suondrarajan Street in T. Nagar. If you have ever been to T. Nagar, you know it is the heart of the city and it never really stops moving. K. P. M. Perfumers is right there in the thick of it. The air around our shop usually smells like a mix of different things we are working on. It’s a small space, filled with bottles and jars of all sizes. We spend most of our hours mixing things and filling orders for people who come in. The street is narrow, and finding parking is a nightmare, so most of our visitors just walk over. The building is older, which gives it a bit of character, I suppose. We don't have fancy displays or anything like that. It is mostly just shelves stacked high with supplies. Every morning, we roll up the front and start the day by checking what needs to be bottled. It’s a lot of manual work, getting the scents right and making sure everything is labeled. T. Nagar is loud and the honking never ends, but inside the shop, we just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes we sit on the stools and just watch the crowd go by while we take a break. It is a very traditional way of doing business, passed down and kept simple. We just stay busy with the bottles and the smells of Suondrarajan Street.
