Indian Beauty Parlour

Our parlour is at number 27 in Durgadevi Nagar, right here in Tondiarpet. It is a local place for women in the neighborhood to get their hair or threading done. We have been here for a while and the shop is just a part of the daily life in this part of Chennai. It isn't a high-end salon with expensive lights, just a practical space where we work. We use simple tools and products that we’ve used for years. Most of the ladies who come in live just a few streets away. They stop by while out for groceries or after finishing house work. We talk about the local news while I work. The space is small but it serves the purpose. Tondiarpet is a busy area and Durgadevi Nagar has its own rhythm. We try to keep the place clean and ready for whoever walks in. There is no receptionist or anything like that. I usually answer the phone myself while helping a customer. It gets a bit hot in the afternoons but the fan keeps things moving. We don't have a website or any big marketing. Word of mouth is how people find us. It’s just Indian Beauty Parlour, a basic spot for regular beauty needs. We don't promise anything revolutionary, just the usual services you'd expect from a neighborhood parlour. It’s been our livelihood and we enjoy seeing the familiar faces every month. We just keep things moving one day at a time.
