Honeys Herbal Beauty World

Running this shop at St Xavier Street has its moments. George Town is always crowded and noisy. We are right near Seven Wells, so there is always someone walking by. Honeys Herbal Beauty World isn't a massive place with a lot of staff. It’s mostly just us working with what we have. We use a lot of herbal stuff because that is what we know. The shelves are full of different small bottles and jars. Chennai heat is tough on the skin, so many ladies come in looking for something cooling. We do hair, threading, and basic face packs. The floor is a bit old but we sweep it often. Sometimes the water pressure is low, so we have to use buckets. It’s a very local spot. People from the neighborhood stop in to chat even if they don't need a service. We have some old magazines on the table but most people just look at their phones. My sister helps me out on weekends when it gets really busy. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door. It’s been here for years. We know most of our customers by their names. It feels like home to us. We just try to get the job done right so people come back next month. That’s how it works here. It is just a regular way to make a living in this busy city.
