Gatsby Gents Beauty Parlour.

Gatsby Gents Beauty Parlour is located at number 56 in Secretariat Colony, which is part of the Kilpauk area near Kellys. It’s pretty easy to find because we are right opposite the More supermarket. Being in Chennai, the weather is usually very hot, so we keep the doors shut to try and keep some of the street heat out. It’s a gents' parlour, so it’s mostly just guys coming in for a quick trim or to get their beard shaped up. We have the usual black chairs and a shelf where we keep the combs and lotions. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up between visitors. It’s not a fancy place with velvet curtains or anything like that. We have some lights that flicker a bit sometimes, and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint soon, but it works fine for what we do every day. The neighborhood is fairly decent, and we get a lot of people who work in the nearby offices or live in the colony apartments. You can hear the traffic from the main road, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of clippers and maybe the radio playing some local tunes. We open early so guys can stop in before they head to their jobs in the morning. It’s just a straightforward place where you get what you came for without much fuss or waiting.
