Dreams Beauty Parlour

I’ve been running this place on Solaiappan Street in Washermanpet for some time now. It’s right behind Thiyagaraya College. If you’re coming from the main road, just look for Maharani Theatre, we are basically opposite that. The area gets really crowded during the day because of the markets and the students walking around. My shop is just a small, simple space where women come to get their hair or eyebrows done. I didn’t want anything too fancy or expensive when I started. It’s mostly locals from the neighborhood who stop by. Sometimes it gets busy on weekends, especially when there’s a wedding or a festival in Chennai. I try to keep things organized but sometimes the chairs are full and people have to wait a bit near the door. Washermanpet is a busy part of town and everyone is usually in a hurry. I like that people know me here. It’s not like those big malls where nobody talks to you. We just do the regular work like threading and haircuts. Most of my customers have been coming for years and they know where to find me. The address is 100/237, and it’s easy to spot once you find the theatre. It’s just a normal parlour for normal people living around here. Nothing more to it really. I just open the shutters in the morning and stay until late evening.
