Dollys Beauty Parlour

Dollys Beauty Parlour is located right in Vasanth Apartments on M S Koil Street. It is on the ground floor, number 110. Being in Royapuram, it gets quite busy around here, especially in the evenings when everyone is coming home. We have a few chairs set up and some big mirrors on the walls. Mostly, we just do the usual stuff like haircuts, threading, and putting on some face packs. There is a small waiting area with a couple of plastic stools if someone has to wait for their turn. The place isn't very big, but it stays cool enough with the fan running all day. Sometimes the light from the window is better for seeing things clearly than the overhead bulbs. Near Vitan is where most people look for us if they haven't been here before. We keep the combs in a tray and try to keep the floor swept after every person leaves. It’s just a regular spot where people from the neighborhood come by. Usually, we talk about the local news or what's happening on the street while working. Sometimes we run out of a certain cream and have to send someone to the shop nearby to get more. The door stays open most of the time to let the air in, even though the street noise comes in too. It's a simple setup we've had for a while now. Most days go by pretty fast with one person after another.
