Classic Gents Beauty Parlour

We are located at No.40/3, Pedhu Naickkan Street. It is in the Kondithope-Sowcarpet area, right near the Kondithope Market. Classic Gents Beauty Parlour is a place for the local men to get a haircut or a shave without any trouble. Chennai can be very hot, and this street gets very dusty because of the market nearby. I spend a lot of time wiping down the chairs and the glass counters. The shop is not very big, but it has everything needed for the job. There is a small radio that plays local songs sometimes, but mostly it is just the sound of the fan and the scissors. 600001 is a busy area, so we get a lot of people walking in who are just working at the market. They are usually in a hurry. I try to work fast but carefully. The chairs are the old-fashioned kind that can lean back for a shave. I have had them for many years. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know we are here near the market. They come in, sit down, and we get to it. Sometimes the neighbors come in just to sit for a minute and escape the sun. It is a simple life running a shop like this. We just keep the floor clean and the blades ready for the next person who walks in. It is just a normal shop on a very busy street.
