Bright Looks Beauty Parlour

Bright Looks Beauty Parlour is down on Shanmugarayan Street in the Seven Wells part of Chennai. It’s a very old and busy area, not too far from Broadway, so there are always people walking past the door. The street is quite narrow, and it can get very crowded with delivery carts and cycles during the day. Our shop is at number 118, and it’s a small storefront that we’ve had for a while now. Inside, it’s quite simple. We have a few stations for hair and skin work, but nothing too elaborate or modern. The building shows its age, and you can see where the pipes and wires run along the ceiling, but we keep it tidy enough. Local ladies come here because it’s convenient and they don't have to go all the way to a big mall or expensive market. We spend a lot of time just talking with the regulars about what’s happening in the neighborhood or how the prices of things are going up lately. It feels like a small community hub more than anything else. Sometimes the water pressure is a bit low, but we have a storage tank to make sure we can wash hair properly. It’s a bit of a squeeze when it’s raining outside and everyone wants to stay dry inside. We don't have a big sign, just enough for people to know we are there. It’s a honest little business in a busy corner of the city.
